Renewal

The 2018 Renewal Period ended on December 31, 2017.

The 2019 Renewal Period will run from September 1 to October 31, 2018.

An individual must hold a current certificate of registration (license) issued by the Registered Nurses Association of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (RNANT/NU) to legally work as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Registration is valid from January 1st to December 31st of the current year. To continue working as an RN or NP, you must renew your license every year.

Renewal documents will be available on this page on September 1, 2018. All renewal applications must be received by October 31 to avoid a late submission fee of $100 + 5% GST. If your renewal application is not received by October 31, 2018 your application may not be processed in time for you to commence work on January 1, 2018.

Did you miss the December 31 deadline?

All 2018 renewal applications must have been received on or before 11:59 p.m. MST on December 31, 2017 in order to be eligible to renew for 2017. If you missed the deadline, your registration expired on December 31, 2017. If you wish to practice as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner in the NT and/or NU for the 2018 Membership year, you are required to complete a reinstatement application.
