If you would like to work as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner in the Northwest Territories and/or Nunavut, you are required to obtain registration with the RNANT/NU.
To become registered as an RN or NP in the Northwest Territories and/or Nunavut, an individual must complete an approved nursing program, pass a national nursing registration exam accepted by the RNANT/NU, and fulfill all other RNANT/NU registration requirements.
Please note that the registration process can take anywhere from 4 - 6 weeks once all documents have been received. Verification documents from the other jurisdictions can take up to 6-12 weeks from the time you request them.
Our membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st.

Have you been previously registered with the RNANT/NU, and are looking to return to work as an RN or NP in the NT/NU?
If you have been previously registered as an RN or NP with the RNANT/NU and have let your registration lapse, you are required to reinstate your registration. If you are currently registered with the RNANT/NU as an Associate Non-Practicing Member and wish to to obtain an active practicing membership, you also are required to reinstate.
