PLEASE NOTE: It is the members responsibility to keep RNANT/NU updated on changes to their name, email, phone or address.
Renewal Forms will be available September 1st of each year.
The 2020 Renewal Period will run from September 1 to October 31, 2019.
November 1, 2019 - December 31, 2019 is the late renewal period.
An individual must hold a current certificate of registration (license) issued by the Registered Nurses Association of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (RNANT/NU) to legally work as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Registration is valid from January 1st to December 31st of the current year. To continue working as an RN or NP, you must renew your license every year.
All renewal applications must be received by October 31 to avoid a late submission fee of $100 + 5% GST. This fee will automatically be applied from November 1 to December 31 of each registration year.
If your renewal application is not received by October 31 your application may not be processed in time for you to commence work on January 1 of the registration year.
Did you miss the December 31 deadline?
All 2020 renewal applications must have been received on or before 11:59 p.m. MST on December 31, 2019 in order to be eligible to renew for 2020. If you missed the deadline, your registration expired on December 31, 2019.
If you wish to practice as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner in the NT and/or NU for the 2020 Membership year, you are required to complete a reinstatement application.
