Allegations of professional misconduct or practice are addressed by the Professional Conduct Review Committee. The professional conduct process is confidential and private. To address a complaint, we require a signed complaint form from you. Once the complaint has been submitted, the professional conduct process has been initiated and we will carry out an investigation to understand the nature of the issues. The nurse involved will be notified and asked to respond to the allegations. The Professional Conduct Committee determines whether the allegations against a nurse are proven true and if so, whether the proof amounts to a finding of misconduct, incompetence, incapacity and/or conduct unbecoming the profession.
